Summary
Web Parts are one of the most important parts of a SharePoint environment because they define the way that information is displayed to the user. Microsoft includes a wide array of Web Parts in the default installation of SharePoint, including useful Exchange Web Parts, the Content Editor Web Part, the Page Viewer Web Part, and other uniquely useful ones as well. In addition to what is provided, SharePoint makes is straightforward to add third-party or custom Web Parts to a SharePoint environment, which adds to the amount of functionality that can be added to an environment.
