In addition to the RDBMS software and options, Oracle also manufactures and sells a complete line of application development tools. These tools provide support for the development of complex applications using character mode terminals, two-tier client/server, and N-tier client/server utilizing web browser technology. These tools, which are designed to facilitate exploiting the features of the Oracle RDBMS environment, are beyond the scope of this book.
