Part 3. Data and document techniques

Working with some form of data is the fundamental task of any application, whether it’s a database, a text file, XML, or JSON.

In chapters 9 through 13, we’ll show you some Ruby tools for working with data in the most common formats and environments, from databases to structured data. Then we’ll show you how to take that data and index, search, and report on it.
