Fixed income investing is usually looked at as the redheaded stepchild of investing. If even given the time of day, most investors provide it little love, if any at all. What every investor needs in order to construct a solid portfolio is a road map to navigate through the turbulent and stable times, avoiding the black hole of the fixed income world. With over 16 years in the asset management industry, I have navigated successfully through the gyrations the markets present to investors with the latest being the Great Recession of 2008. Through the roller-coaster ride, there are many lessons I learned that will benefit investors, helping them to gain success when analyzing the economic climate and investing their fixed income portfolio.
