Chapter 9: Takeaways

A Talent Maker is a leader who believes and acts as if hiring great talent is their top priority.

It is not the role of the CEO only, but the role of any leader

Three components to being a Talent Maker are the following:

Talent Leader, who builds and leads a culture of hiring. This is the result of your visibility, your actions, and the time you spend on hiring.

Talent Magnet, who is very personally engaged in attracting and pursuing top talent. They meet with prospects and candidates, and help to close them. They also get out and support the organization's hiring brand.

Talent Partner is a true supporter of the recruiting team, enabling them to do their best work. They make time to work closely with recruiters, they make interviews and scorecards a priority, and they give recruiters the resources they need.
