I would like to express my sincere thanks to Prof. H. N. Mahabala, who has been a source of inspiration and guidance to me throughout my life. My desire to write a book on soft skills stemmed from a course on ethics that I co-offered with Prof. Prabhu of IIIT, Bangalore. Prof. Prabhu’s inspiring lectures and the long hours of discussion we have had made a deep impression on me and some of these are captured in this book. I also owe a debt of gratitude to Mr R.
