Reflection

,

Reflection is putting up a mirror to yourself and the people and events around you, and learning from what you see. Three kinds of reflection lead to group learning according to Killion and Hamson: (1) reflection-on-action (looking back on what happened); (2) reflection-in-action (examining the situation while you are in it); and (3) reflection-for-action (focusing on what was learned and how that learning can be used in the future). Questions that can guide each of these kinds of reflection in groups are listed on the following worksheet.
