About the Authors

Veechi Curtis has a degree in Accountancy and Business Management from Charles Sturt University, and has worked as a business consultant for more than 17 years, including several years running a contract bookkeeping service. As a journalist, she has written for many publications and has been a columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald.

Veechi is also the author of Small Business For Dummies, MYOB Software For Dummies, QuickBooks For Dummies and Creating a Business Plan For Dummies.

Lynley Averis has a commerce degree from the University of Canterbury. She has worked as a secondary and tertiary teacher in New Zealand and Victoria but has spent a large part of her career consulting in software and business systems.

She currently runs her own company, Accounting Training Ltd, which specialises in MYOB accounting, payroll and retail systems. She works on-site with MYOB users in New Zealand and in the Pacific Islands, with a focus on training, consulting and troubleshooting. Before starting Accounting Training Ltd she co-owned an MYOB training company called JumpStart, which was acquired by MYOB NZ Ltd.

Lynley was voted MYOB Partner of the year in both 2010 and 2013. She’s the first Approved Partner in New Zealand and Australia to win the award twice.
