Summary

In this chapter, we discussed how we can use Angular 2 to create a desktop application with Electron. There is not much difference in developing an Electron application from traditional web development in terms of the user interface. We have checked how we can connect our Electron application to a remote server to get some data. Also in the last part of the chapter, we discussed implementing oAuth authentication with Electron and handling response redirection in Electron.

So far, all we have discussed is using Angular with Electron but we have not discussed in detail any user interface libraries. In the next chapter, we will discuss some user interface libraries available for Electron. We will also check how we can use those libraries to build a native-like user interface for Electron.
