Agilera

Agilera has introduced a new total-solution outsourcing model. In their offering, they will install, configure, operate, and support top-tier applications such as SAP and Siebel. Other second-tier offerings will also be available on the Agilera ASP network. Customers connect to the Agilera Business Applications Network™ over secure, high-speed private or Internet connections.

Corio

Corio has been in stiff competition with USinternetworking for the number one ASP rating. The difference between the two organizations primarily is the amount of customization that they are willing to do for the hosted application.

The following applications are offered: Siebel CRM, BroadVision e-Business software, E.piphany eMarketing, and PeopleSoft or SAP for ERP. All of the offerings are integrated together and presented through a unified presentation layer.

Jamcracker

Jamcracker is the first pure-play application service aggregator. It is assembling a portfolio of pretested offerings from several ASPs and Internet-based software vendors, which it will offer to enterprises through their own customized application portal. The environment provides secure, single sign-on, 24×7 global support, and full accountability for service levels. As well as a choice of applications covering finance, human resources, customer relationship management, and other business operations, Jamcracker offers IT services such as remote access, desktop management, and infrastructure monitoring.

Oracle.com Online Services

In September 1998, Oracle became the first major applications vendor to offer application service provider (ASP) services based on its own applications and database technology. While many of the software vendors have been trying to negotiate deals with as many ASPs as they can, Oracle has decided that if you want an Oracle solution, you will have to come to Oracle.com Online Services for the hosting.

Oracle does not rent the applications. They require that the software be purchased, an annual maintenance contract be executed, and then Oracle.com Online Services will host it for you. This, of course, is after customization and implementation fees.

Outtask

Outtask provides ASP applications in the areas of CRM, financial management, executive productivity, human resources management, travel, and expense reporting. The company targets Fortune 1000 companies in the retail, publishing, manufacturing, professional services, high-tech, and healthcare fields. Outtask supports Siebel for CRM, Primus for customer service, and Microsoft Great Plains for financial management.

Qwest Cyber.Solutions

Known for its build-out of one of the largest fiber backbones, Qwest has recently begun to build large data hosting centers. Qwest is hosting several ASPs in these centers and has recently announced they now have a full ASP offering.

They have announced that SAP is their ERP offering hosted on Oracle databases. For their CRM offering, they have chosen Siebel.

USinternetworking

USi is currently the largest ASP. USi has their own data centers and touts this as a strategic business advantage unlike other ASPs who say that they focus on their core competencies, application hosting. In addition to being an ASP, USi has a program that application developers and other ASPs can use to become an instant ASP.

USi has one of the most comprehensive enterprise application offerings. They recently announced that they were the first to offer Storage Area Networks (SANs). This capability offers companies high reliability, performance, security, and fail-over capability using external storage for mission-critical systems. For the enterprise groupware environment, they recently began offering MS Exchange.

For their CRM offerings, they have teamed with Siebel Systems. As one of the first ASPs to offer PRM, they have teamed with Partnerware.

USi has two different ERP offerings, Lawson and PeopleSoft. They have also teamed with BroadVision and Calico for their e-commerce offerings, and Ariba and Clarus for e-procurement offerings. With these offerings, they provide a full end-to-end solution.

For publishing high-value B2B business data on the Web, USi has teamed with Actuate and for internal data mining and business intelligence, they offer Sagent software. USi fuses the Sagent OLAP Data Mart software modules for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
