Additional element types defined by SSML

sub

Used to substitute the specified text for the contained text for purposes of pronunciation. The alias attribute specifies the substitution string.

speak

This is the root element of SSML which contains the body of speech markup elements. The xml:lang attribute specifies the spoken language used. VoiceXML's prompt is modeled on SSML's speak.
