Professor Dr. Namrata Agrawal has more than 28 years of teaching, research, and consultancy experience. She has published more than 30 research papers in refereed national and international journals listed/indexed in SCI, SCOPUS, EBSCO, IEEE, Springer, US Cabell’s Directory, Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, ERA, and Google Scholar. She has also presented around 40 papers in national and international conferences. She has also guided several PhD students. She has vast international exposure and has traveled extensively to the United States, United Kingdom (London, Manchester), Scotland, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. She has successfully participated in the International Internship Certificate Program on “Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management” of the “Edinburgh Business School,” Scotland, in the year 2011. Disha Gupta is pursuing master of technology (cyber security and incident response) from Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU), India.

Rajesh Kumar is assistant professor of political science at the School of Social Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India. He has a doctoral degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Dr. Kumar’s teaching and research interests are in areas of international relations, South Asian government and politics, foreign and security affairs. His publications include the book Indo-U.S. Political and Strategic Relations besides several articles contributed in journals like Pakistan Horizon, World Focus, South Asian Affairs, and Punjab Journal of Politics. Ms. M.S. Dimuthu Kumari serves as a lecturer in the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. She is a young researcher and is interested in researching about disaster management and social issues.

Mr. W.M.D.M. Dissanayaka serves as a lecturer in the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He is a young researcher and is interested in researching on issues prevailing in the public sector and the environment.

Nasim Banu is a doctorate of social sciences who did her master’s in public administration and MPhil in regional planning. She is a professor and present chairman, Department of Development Studies in Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. She has been teaching for the last 28 years and has published about 30 articles in reputed journals. Public policy and disaster management is the field of her research area. Prof. Banu works closely with the policymakers and concerned agencies of Bangladesh in collecting information. She has attended a number of international conferences with her research works that aimed to monitor and evaluate the national policies and their impacts in transforming nationalization to privatization and poverty issues; to revisit the management practices and the participation of the international community in facing disasters in Bangladesh; to assess the suitability of plans, planning and nature of public financing of Bangladesh to address the impact of climate change.

Anupama Puri Mahajan, PhD, a researcher and a freelance writer, served as postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Public Administration, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India. She regularly contributes research articles to reputed journals of public administration, newspapers, and chapters in reputed books. She has authored and coauthored books on women empowerment and financial administration in India. Her two books on public administration and development administration are scheduled to be released before the end of the year 2018.

Dr. Rabindranath Bhattacharyya is currently the professor of political science in the University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India, where he has been teaching for more than 30 years. His research area focuses on disaster management and governance with special focus on poverty alleviation programs across countries and the role of government as well as different groups in that regard. He was appointed as an Australia Awards Ambassador by the Australian High Commissioner to India on March 28, 2014 for the year 2014 to 2015. He was awarded Australian Government Endeavour Post-Doctoral Research Award, 2009 at the UniSA and AIC Australian Studies (Senior) Visiting Fellowship 2007 to 2008 for visiting Curtin University, Perth; Hawke Research Institute, UniSA; RSPAS, Australian National University; Monas University, Melbourne; and School of History and Philosophy, UNSW, Sydney, in Australia. He has coedited three books: Land, Leadership and Local Resource Management, Governance and Poverty Reduction—Beyond the Cage of Best Practices, and Essays on International Terrorism. He has a number of papers and book chapters published in both national and international journals and books. He has presented papers and chaired sessions in various national and international conferences/seminars spread over eight countries other than India. He has successfully supervised PhD theses of five candidates from India and Bangladesh.

Dr. Jebunnessa is currently an associate professor (since 2003) and the chairperson of the Department of Public Administration, Jahangirnagar University. She obtained BSS Honors and MSS in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh with First Class in 2000 and 2002, respectively. After that she joined as a Gender Training Officer of the Capacity Building for Gender Mainstreaming Project of UNDP. She taught at Gono Biswabidyalya (Private University) from 2006 to 2009. She was an assistant director of Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission for one year, which she left to join the post of lecturer in the Department of Public Administration at Jahangirnagar University in April 2010. In 2009, she earned M Phil in Public Administration from the Dhaka University. She earned PhD degree in 2017 from the Department of Political Science, the University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India. Her areas of research specialization are corruption, energy and regulatory governance, e-governance, public sector management and reform, women and gender, urban management and liberation war of Bangladesh. She has published a number of articles and books both in English and in Bengali in the research areas. She has also presented papers in different national and international seminars and conferences. She is also a member of a number of national and international professional and cultural associations.

Himanshu Shekhar Mishra works as editor (Government Affairs) in New Delhi Television. He was part of the Prime Minister’s official entourage to the UN Annual Summit in New York (2003) and Indo-Turkish Summit in Ankara and Istanbul (2003). As a TV news correspondent, he has extensively reported on Indian politics and researched on disaster management. He has presented research papers at the 3rd UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (Sendai 2015), ASEAN University Network conferences in Manila (2015) and Kuala Lumpur (2016), Fudan University in Shanghai, IIT Roorkee, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and the World Congress on Disaster Management. His paper titled “Interrogating Right to Compensation in Disaster Laws: A Case Study of Kashmir Floods” was published in an edited volume titled “Disaster Laws, Emerging Thresholds” by Routledge in July 2017.
