Robert Pike has been developing and implementing training programs for business, industry, government, and other professions since 1969. As president of Creative Training Techniques International, Inc., Resources for Organizations, Inc., and The Resources Group, Inc., he leads more than 150 sessions each year on topics such as leadership, attitudes, motivation, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, personal and organizational effectiveness, conflict management, team-building, and managerial productivity.

More than 50,000 trainers have attended Pike’s Creative Training Techniques workshops. As a consultant, he has worked with such organizations as American Express, Upjohn, Hallmark Cards, Inc., IBM, PSE&G, Bally’s Casino Resort, and Shell Oil. A member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) since 1972, he has served on three of the organization’s national design groups, and held office as director of special interest groups and as a member of the national board.

An outstanding speaker, Pike has been a presenter at regional and national conferences for ASTD and other organizations. He currently serves as co-chairman of the Professional Emphasis Groups for the National Speakers’ Association. He has been granted the professional designation of Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) by the NSA, an endorsement earned by only 170 of the organization’s 3,800 members.

Pike is editor of Lakewood Publications’ Creative Training Techniques Newsletter, is author of The Creative Training Techniques Handbook, and has contributed articles to TRAINING Magazine, The Personnel Administrator, and Self-Development Journal. He has been listed, since 1980, in Who’s Who in the Midwest and is listed in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.
