ABOUT THE AUTHORS

RAVIN JESUTHASAN is a recognized global thought leader and author on the future of work, automation, and human capital. He has written numerous research reports and articles on these topics and is the coauthor of the books Lead the Work (Wiley, 2015) and Transformative HR (Wiley, 2011). Jesuthasan is an advisor to some of the largest companies in the world and has led numerous large-scale, global restructuring and transformation engagements.

Jesuthasan is a regular participant and presenter at the World Economic Forum’s annual meetings in Davos and Dalian/Tianjin and is a member of the WEF’s Steering Committee on Work and Employment. He has been featured extensively by leading business media including CNN, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, CNBC, Fortune, FT, The Nikkei (Japan), Les Echoes (France), Valor Econômico (Brazil), Business Times (Malaysia), Globe and Mail (Canada), the South China Morning Post, Dubai One TV, and The Australian, among others. He is a frequent guest lecturer at universities around the world including Oxford University, Northwestern University, and the University of Southern California.

Jesuthasan has been recognized as one of the 25 most influential consultants in the world. He is a Managing Director of Willis Towers Watson and is based in the firm’s Chicago office.

JOHN W. BOUDREAU, PHD, is Professor of Management and Organization at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and Research Director at the university’s Center for Effective Organizations. He is recognized worldwide for breakthrough research on the bridges between superior human capital, talent, and sustainable competitive advantage.

Boudreau’s more than 200 publications include the books Lead the Work (Wiley, 2015), Retooling HR (Harvard Business Review Press, 2010), and Beyond HR (Harvard Business Review Press, 2007). He is featured in Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Fast Company, and NPR, among others. His research appears in Management Science, The Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Human Resource Management Review, and Industrial Relations. Boudreau has received the Herbert Heneman Jr. Award for Career Achievement from the Academy of Management, the Michael R. Losey Excellence in Human Resource Research Award from the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Academy of Management’s awards for Organizational Behavior New Concept and Human Resource Scholarly Achievement. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and American Psychological Association. Dr. Boudreau advises organizations that include early-stage companies; global corporations; and government, military, and nonprofit organizations. He founded and led the Global Consortium to Reimagine HR, Employment Alternatives, Talent, and the Enterprise (CHREATE), and he serves as a Foundation Trustee of the National Academy of Human Resources and on the Transformational Investment Capacity Committee of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).
