The version 2 release of Jerakia now supports integration with Vault via the transit secret backend.

Vault is an open source platform for encrypting, securing, storing, and tightly controlling access to passwords, tokens, certificates, and other secret settings for your infrastructure. Vault also handles those tricky aspects of secret management, such as leasing, rolling, revocation, and auditing.

So, Vault provides something like an encryption as a service backend for Jerakia.
