In this chapter, you have learned to "hack" phpList, both by making minor code edits yourself, using pre-created plugins, or creating standalone files (that is, archive.php) to add additional functionality. You "hacked" phpList to add the following features:
- Substituting user attributes in the message subject line
- Sending system messages formatted as HTML instead of plain text
- Creating a messages archive page
- Send messages via your e-mail client
