Upgrade Your Key Skills
Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field—and every thing is learnable. The more you learn and know, the more confident and motivated you become. The better you become, the more capable you will be of doing even more.
NOTES
1. Identify the key skills that can best help you achieve better and faster results. Then highlight those where you have special talents. Among that group, focus even further on those that you enjoy. Use the following diagram to find the overlap among skills, talents, and enjoyment, and focus on them. This is the key to unlocking your personal potential.
2. With areas to focus on in sight, compile a list of media that will help you grow in each area. Research important books or magazines in your field—ones that contain information that can help you become more effective and productive at what you do—and read for at least an hour every day. Also, turn your commute into an opportunity for growth by compiling a list of audiobooks and podcasts. You can become one of the smartest, most capable, and highest-paid people in your field simply by listening to educational audio programs as you travel from place to place.

3. To keep improving, rub elbows with the best minds in your field. Take every course and seminar available on the key skills that can help you. Do some research around conventions and business meetings in your profession or occupation, and use the calendar here to sketch out your next year of in-person learning.
