Summary

In this chapter, we have learned about the support for a Java project in Gradle. With just a simple line needed to apply the Java plugin, we get masses of functionality, which we can use for our Java code. We can compile our source files, package the compiled code into a JAR file, and generate documentation.

In the next chapter, we will see how we can add dependencies to external libraries. We will learn how to configure repositories, and how we can organize our dependencies with configurations.
