This appendix contains some useful GarageBand shortcuts. Command refers to the key just to the left of the spacebar on your computer, which may also be marked with the icon 
or may have an Apple icon.
Opt refers to the Option key (just to the left of the Command key). This may also be marked as Alt. Control refers to the key to the left of the Option key, which may also be marked Ctrl.

Command+C | Copy a selected region or a selection of notes/events |
Command+D | Create a duplicate track (based on the kind of track that is selected) |
Command+E | Show/hide Editor (at the bottom of the screen) for audio or MIDI data |
Command+F | Display chord in the main display at the bottom of the screen |
Command+Shift+F | Display absolute time in the main display at the bottom of the screen |
