With our definition of cloud computing, two types of models were referred to: the cloud service model and the cloud deployment/availability model. They can be described as follows:
- The cloud service model refers to the offerings of a cloud provider. Does it only offer the infrastructure, or does it offer fully managed software?
- The cloud deployment model refers to who can access the cloud provider's offerings. Is it available to everyone, is it available to a special group of people, or is it completely private?
We will go over these models in the next sections.
