More and more videos are being generated and consumed regularly across the world. The consumption of media happens on various devices. There is a need to convert media so that it can be consumed by different devices. AWS has the following services for video transcoding, live streaming, video storage, and more:

• Elastic Transcoder: Transcoding is the act of converting media from one format to another so that the media can be played on a variety of devices, from .wav to .mp3, from 1080p to 720p, and so on. The Elastic Transcoder service is a transcoding service on the cloud that is provided by Amazon.
• AWS Elemental MediaConvert: This is a file-based video-transcoding service that has broadcast features built in. The input video content is stored in Amazon S3. AWS Elemental MediaConvert uses this as a source and converts it into various video formats as requested by the user. The converted videos are stored in S3. This process is shown in the following diagram:

• Amazon Elemental MediaLive: This is a broadcast-grade live video-processing service. Live video streams are encoded in real time. The input, which is a large-sized live video, is compressed to a smaller version for distributing to viewers. This service removes the need for users to set up their own broadcast-grade video-processing infrastructure. 
• Elemental MediaPackage: This service takes input from Elemental MediaLive. It packages the incoming video stream into different distribution formats based on endpoint configurations. The formats help with implementing popular features, such as rewind, pause, and so on. This service also protects the content, using DRM.
• Elemental MediaTailor: This service allows video providers to insert individually targeted ads into their videos without compromising the video quality or the broadcast quality of the service. 
• Elemental MediaStore: This is a storage service provided by AWS that is optimized for video. This service can be the origin of all video-based workflows.
