According to Oracle Database Technology Updates on MOS (https://support.oracle.com), Database Version 12.2.0.1 is scheduled for release on Linux x86-64 in mid 2016 during Oracle OpenWorld 2016. It will arrive nearly three years after the initial 12.1.0.1 version and is expected to contain many new and improved features. The delivery date for GoldenGate 12c Release 2 has yet to be announced by Oracle, but it is expected to arrive in the same time frame as the database software.
