Jim J. Marion is an AICPA certified information technology professional who currently works as a principal sales consultant at Oracle. He is the author of the Oracle Press book PeopleSoft PeopleTools Tips & Techniques and co-author of PeopleSoft PeopleTools Data Management and Upgrade Handbook. Jim is an international presenter of PeopleTools development topics at conferences such as Oracle OpenWorld, UKOUG events, HEUG’s Alliance, Quest’s IOUG, and OAUG’s Collaborate.
Sarah K. Marion is an English major with more than 20 years of experience working in education and 12+ years of professional experience in technology and publishing. She has a background in curriculum development and public speaking. Sarah received the Outstanding Graduate Award, graduating as a member of the honor society. She previously acted as the Developmental Editor for Peoplesoft PeopleTools Data Management and Upgrade Handbook. Sarah is a writer, wife, and mother of four.
About the Technical Editors
Dave Bain joined PeopleSoft as a developer in the spring of 1996. After spending 4 years in a research group, Dave became a development manager in the PeopleTools organization that is responsible for App Designer, AppClass PeopleCode, AppEngine, and other core technologies. Dave transitioned into a role of Product Manager where he worked on defining requirements for PeopleTools releases. After PeopleSoft was acquired by Oracle, Dave spent a year working on Fusion Applications, assisting the application teams with adoption of Fusion Technology. Dave transitioned back to PeopleTools product management where he covers Integration Technology, Mobile Technology, and Lifecycle Management. Hakan Biroglu is a PeopleTools 8 Application Developer Certified Expert, Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Certified Implementation Specialist, Oracle SOA Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist, and Oracle Application Development Framework 11g Certified Implementation Specialist. He has over 15 years of experience as a software architect on Oracle Applications, working on all technical areas of PeopleSoft, E-Business Suite, and Fusion Applications. In 2013, Hakan was named Oracle ACE for Oracle Applications Technology. He is a frequent speaker at regional and international conferences, regularly publishes articles on his blog, and is an active member of the OTN forum. Hakan lives in the Netherlands with his wife Öznur and their three children Murat, Lara, and Elisa.
