Test-SPContentDatabase

When performing a SharePoint migration, part of the operation is to back up the MOSS 2007 or SharePoint 2010 content database(s) and then restore them on your SharePoint 2013 SQL Server. You then test the content database(s) against your new SharePoint 2013 web application to identify any issues.

The syntax for this scenario follows:

Test-SPContentDatabase -Name <name of content database>
-WebApplication <name of web application to test against>

By default, the current SQL Server instance is used, but you can specify an instance by using the -ServerInstance parameter and passing in the SQL Server instance.
