THE ART OF FASHION ILLUSTRATION | PART 2: THE ICONS
Text
InÛmences
Although inspired by the works of Paul
Verhoeven, Richard Gray, Renu Gruau,
Demetrios Psillos, and the fashion
designs of Dior, Chanel, and Victoria
Beckham, Petson’s technique is all her
own. It is delicate, abstract, and ethereal
all at the same time.
Good Advice
“Really Ånd your style. It deÅnes you
and makes you stand out from the
crowd,” Petson advises. “Learn the
business, learn marketing, intern at an
ad agency or a magazine or a fashion
house, and get your work published!
Draw every day.”
