 The Exercise in Action: Topical cartoons—minus their captions—can add levity to dry subject matter, says Mark Poore, a training coordinator at Precision Computer Systems, Inc., Sioux Falls, SD.

Poore displays cartoons relating to specific courses on an overhead projector. Before revealing their captions, he solicits ideas for substitute captions from the group. These are often funnier than the original punchlines, he says.
