File ingestion works with very simple steps; the Azure storage account is configured through the Azure portal by selecting the file upload option in IoT Hub configuration.

Once the device is ready for the file ingestion, it uploads the file directly to the storage account in the container we selected. The IoT Hub gets a message about the file upload being completed through a file ingestion IoT Hub message and adds the notification.

An IoT backend application is responsible for downloading the file and processing the batch telemetry data that we just uploaded through the file.
