I want to thank the many students and engineers who have communicated with me via e-mail their questions about some of the contents of the third edition. It has been a pleasure to work with these individuals in helping them to understand better some of the models and applications in the text. Since I am retired, it has been a real pleasure to have the opportunity to work with many graduate students working on their research involving distribution systems.
