Here’s what I do: Go to the bottom of the Layers panel, click on the Create New Adjustment Layer icon (it’s the fourth one from the left; its icon looks like a circle that’s half white/half black), and choose Color Lookup from the pop-up menu. When the Color Lookup options in the Properties panel appear, click-and-hold on the 3DLUT File popup menu, and you’ll find a list of color tints and color grading looks you can apply by just choosing one from this menu (seen above left). These changes appear as their own separate layers in the Layers panel, so you can reduce the intensity of any look by simply lowering the Opacity (near the top right of the panel) of that Color Lookup layer. If you want more of a solid color tint, first trash that Color Lookup adjustment layer you just added (click-and-drag it onto the Trash icon at the bottom of the panel) and try this: From the Create New Adjustment Layer’s pop-up menu, choose Solid Color. When you do this, it brings up the Color Picker where you can choose the color tint you want. So, choose a color, then click OK. This puts a solid color over your image (not what you want, right?), so change the layer blend mode (near the top left of the Layers panel) from Normal to Color. That makes the solid color appear as a tint and blends it with your image (rather than it being a solid color that covers it). Now you can reduce the intensity of your color tint by lowering the Opacity of that Color Fill layer (as shown above right).
