To work with Microsoft Azure, you need to create an account that is used to handle the billing of the payable services you use. Each account contains one or more subscriptions that allows for the creation and management of the Azure services.
The following steps will guide you in creating a free Azure account (you can read about the free account at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free):
- Log in to your Microsoft account or create a new one (https://account.microsoft.com/account).
- Navigate to https://signup.azure.com/ and click on the Sign Up link.
- Fill in the requested details and validate your identity with your phone and credit card numbers (a credit card is needed to allow the use of resources that are not free, but will not be charged otherwise):
Your card will not be charged in the free account unless you explicitly increase the spending limit:
