An artifact is the deployable unit of your application. Inside the Artifacts section, you add the sources from which you want the release pipeline to deploy. There are many sources you can choose from—Azure pipelines, Jenkins, or a source control, among others:

1. Click on the Add an artifact button to create the connection between the build pipeline you created earlier and the release pipeline:

2. Select the details of the build pipeline and click Add:

Now that you've set the artifacts to be deployed, you can proceed to configure how those artifacts should be handled by the release pipeline.
