In this chapter, we explored the API's world and understood how APIs are implemented using the HTTP Protocol and CRUD operations. This great combination enables the exchange of information easier than before.

We also learned how to create an API using Node.js and saw how easy it is to build a RESTful API using one of the most popular open source web frameworks—Express.js.

In the next chapter, we will integrate our API with MongoDB in order to save information in a real database instead of sending fake data. It's getting better.
