In this chapter, you learned what a database is and the difference between SQL and NoSQL databases. Also, we implemented the API to manage teams that is able to persist the information into a MongoDB database.

You also learned about async/await, and we were able to code a more easy-to-read and maintainable asynchronous logic.

In the next chapter, we will explore advanced features of Aurelia to integrate our REST API with our Aurelia web application.
