To change the size of your image, go under the Image menu and choose Image Size (you might as well learn the keyboard shortcut for this one, because you’ll be doing this a lot. Luckily, it’s easy to remember: Command-Option-I [PC: Ctrl-Alt-I]). This brings up the Image Size dialog where you can type in the size you want (you can change the unit of measurement from the pop-up menus to the right of the Width and Height fields. For example, you can change the measurement from inches to pixels to millimeters, or even a percentage—like decrease the size by 50%). If you click-and-hold on the Fit To pop-up menu near the top of the dialog, you’ll find a bunch of presets for common sizes. If you wind up resizing to a certain size often (for example, let’s say your website uses images that are 750 pixels wide by 500 pixels deep), you can save this custom size as a preset by choosing Save Preset at the bottom of that same menu. When you’ve input the new size you want, just click the OK button.
