Erase Part of a Letter?

image

First, you have to convert the type from an editible type layer into a layer made of pixels. Then, you can erase it like you drew it with a paint brush. Go to the Layers panel, Right-click on the layer and, from the pop-up menu that appears, choose Rasterize Type. That’s Adobe speak for “make this type layer into pixels.” That’s it—it now treats your type like a photo, and you can erase it with the Eraser tool (E), or delete parts of it, and so on. So, the good news is you can convert type into pixels. The bad news is once you do this, you can’t go back and edit your type (so, no fixing typos, or changing fonts, etc.). So, make sure you have the font you want, and there are no typos, before you convert your editable type into pixels.
