Have Photoshop Auto Fix My Photo?

image

There are a few different auto corrections Photoshop can do, and each of them creates a different look, so you might have to try more than one to see which looks best on your particular photo. First, I’d try Auto Tone: go under the Image menu and, near the top, choose Auto Tone, and see how that looks. If it doesn’t look good, press Command-Z (PC: Ctrl-Z) to Undo that auto correction, and then try Auto Contrast from that same menu (which is focused more on adding contrast, but that may be what your image needs). If that doesn’t look good enough, undo that and then try the next one down—Auto Color. If none of those look good to you, go under the Filter menu and choose Camera Raw Filter. When the Camera Raw filter window appears, click the Auto button (it looks more like a link than a button—it’s under the White Balance sliders). If your image seems too bright now (as is sometimes the case with this auto correction in Camera Raw), just lower the Exposure slider a bit until it looks right to you.
