There are different ways in which we can import data into Elasticsearch, such as using Beats, which can be installed on any server and can send data, or using Logstash, which can fetch data from different sources and send it to a central Elasticsearch server or cluster. Essentially, we have two primary options in the Elastic Stack for importing data: Beats and Logstash. Here, we will cover both of them in detail and we will discover ways to configure them to fetch data.
