User Training Plan

The user training plan (see Chapter 5) lays out the strategies to be used to provide training to end users before, during, and after deploying new portal services.

    • Identifies each audience that needs to receive training by the role use user plays in the portal.
    • Describes the skills needed by each audience.
    • Identifies each audience's common tasks.
  • Levels of Training
    • Identifies each unit of training that needs to be delivered.
    • Describes the goals to be achieved through the training.
    • Describes the methods and materials to be used.
  • Delivery Strategies
    • Describes the techniques that will be used to engage users.
    • Describes the timing and coordination of the training.
    • Describes other techniques that will be used to drive adoption through building end-user skills.
  • Evaluation Criteria
    • Describes measurable criteria used to determine the progress and effectiveness of the plan after implementation.
