About the Authors

Marcus Goncalves, EdD, PhD, is an international management consultant with more than 27 years of experience in the United States, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Boston University. He has more than 45 books published in the United States, many translated into Portuguese, German, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Spanish. He’s often invited to speak on international business, global trade, international management, and organizational development subjects worldwide. Marcus has been lecturing at Boston University and Brandeis University for the past 15 years. He has also been a visiting professor and graduate research adviser and examiner at Saint Joseph University, in Macao, China for the past 4 years. He is an Associate Professor of Management, and the International Business Program Chair at Nichols College, in Dudley, Massachusetts, United States. Erika Cornelius Smith, PhD, researches and teaches the histories, politics, and economics of the United States, Central Europe, and The CIS as an assistant professor of history and political science at Nichols College. She holds a master’s degree in political science from Eastern Illinois University, and a doctorate degree in history from Purdue University. Among many grants and awards, Erika held Title VIII Fellowship for Research and Training in The CIS and Eurasia, Indiana University and Russian and East European Institute.
