10. As noted earlier in this chapter, price compression for a callable bond refers to the property that a callable bond’s price appreciation potential is severely limited as yields decline. As shown in Exhibit 7–18, as yields fall below a certain level (i.e., where the yield corresponds to the call price), the price appreciation of the callable bond is being compressed.
