Acknowledgments

The author of any book owes a debt of gratitude to a number of people. In my case, dozens of personal and professional acquaintances helped me with the stories that populate Us vs. Them. However, as they were promised anonymity in exchange for their unvarnished honesty, I’ll have to settle for thanking them poorly here and more properly the next time we get together for a drink and (if they were really nice to me) an appetizer combo. I’d also like to thank everyone at the Bureau of Labor Statistics for painstakingly compiling decades of workplace data that has turned out to have some quite surprising information. A special thanks to Robin Dunbar, whose fascinating research is especially incredible because almost nobody seems to know about it. And while I’m at it, I feel I should thank all those folks who built the Internet. I’ve found it to be somewhat helpful.
