Ever notice that people will measure distance in time, but not time in distance? If you ask someone how far away they are from work, they say, “Oh, about 15 minutes.” But if you ask them when they get off work, they never say, “Oh, about a mile and a half.”

In this final chapter, we are going to explore the most elusive thing in photography; placing the experience of time in a photograph. This is the last, rather than the first chapter of this book, because before you could create such an image, you had to understand all the parts that would eventually go to make up the whole.
