On the Cover

The picture on the front cover shows the consequences of a waste receiver vessel explosion at the Bayer Cropscience plant in Institute, West Virginia on August 28, 2008. Due to start-up difficulties, a large amount of unreacted chemical accumulated in the receiver vessel. A runaway reaction occurred resulting in the explosion.
