The NetBeans IDE has its own configurable Keymap. A keymap is a group of profiles in which each profile is made up of several keyboard shortcuts associated with user-initiated actions. NetBeans includes several profiles from other common editors to ease the transition from other environments such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, and Emacs. This appendix describes shortcuts from the NetBeans 6.1 profile. Many of these shortcuts are commonly used and may be seen on the exam.
To help with memorization, the shortcuts have been separated into the following sections: File, Code Folding, Navigation, Source, Refactoring, Run, Debugging, Debugging Window, Profiling, Window, Traditional Editor Functions, Miscellaneous, and Help. In addition, a table maps the usage of all shortcuts related to the function keys.
The following table defines the shortcut actions for function keys, along with function keys that work with other key combinations, relative to the NetBeans 6.8 keymap profile. Note that the only function-key shortcut not shown is Reset Collected Results (CTRL-ALT-F2).
An abbreviated Shortcut document is available by selecting Help | Keyboard Shortcuts Card in the NetBeans IDE. The reference Keymap documentation for NetBeans 6.0, 6.1, and 6.5 can be found at: http://wiki.netbeans.org/KeymapProfileFor60.
