Summary

In this chapter, we covered the creation of security design in AX from the perspective of a developer. Although we focused mainly on securing new functionalities, the knowledge gained can be applied to adjust the standard security design to fit your organization's security requirements. Although developer-focused, the concepts and information covered in this chapter are equally relevant to security administrators, who work predominantly in the user interface but whose actions result in modifications to security objects, and thus to models and layers.

In the next chapter, we will cover how to customize standard AX while minimizing the impact on future upgrades.
