There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.
CodeInText: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: "The Builder pattern assumes that we use the nested Builder class that obtains all arguments and creates a new instance."
A block of code is set as follows:
val range = 1..10
for (value in range){
println(value)
}
Any command-line input or output is written as follows:
User(preferences=User Preference Node: /User, id=1, firstName=Igor, lastName=Kucherenko)
Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see on screen. For example, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in the text like this. Here is an example: "In the IntelliJ IDEA menu, click on Tools | Kotlin | Show Kotlin Byte code, and press Decompile."
