Scenario

You have been asked to set up a miscellaneous view, which includes jobs that do everything but run tests.

Aim

To set up a freestyle project dashboard to categorize developer jobs and views

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have the following:

1. Jenkins up and running.
2. You are logged in as the Administrator.
3. You have a developer user profile with the following permissions:
   • Is able to access views
   • Is able to access jobs
   • Has the overall read permission

Steps for Completion

1. On the left navigation menu, select New View.

2. Select List View and put the View name as miscellaneous.

3. Update the view's description and select the job(s), as shown in the below screenshot:

4. Update the Columns where necessary, and then click Apply and Save.
5. The view should be listed on the dashboard, and with it, the job(s).

6. Verify that the developer is able to access the views and jobs.
