In this chapter, we defined and implemented examples of freestyle projects that run scripts. We then demonstrated how to set up script builds on Jenkins. Lastly, we identified what it takes to make build environments more convenient and efficient through views.

We can now confidently set up freestyle projects to run tasks as simple as test runs and/or application builds. In the following chapter, we will delve deeper into automating freestyle projects. This will involve setting up parameterized builds and configuring upstream and downstream projects.
