Explaining the answer

After making sure you've explained the question clearly, you will need to explain the answer clearly. Again, you can start with the big picture and work your way down to a narrow focus if that's the story you've chosen to tell. As you explain the answer, make sure to give context along the way and don't wait to answer everything until the end.

To explain the answer to the question, Why do certain baseball player positions make more than others?, you could go first through the high-level salary information showing the average salary for each type of player in a graph. Next, you could go through batting information for each of the positions to see if there is a correlation between batting and salary. Additionally, you could look at pitching or fielding statistics to get to the full detailed story of why certain positions make more than others.
