About the Authors
Imelda K. Butler is a global corporate thought leader
for Odyssey Consulting Institute
TM
, where she is also
the chairperson, and for Odyssey The Business of
Consulting
TM
. She is also the managing director of
Century Management Ltd. She inspires, energizes, influ-
ences, and facilitates consultants to become the very
best they can be, by identifying, clarifying, and focusing
on their purpose, passion, and talents in life and business, all while integrat-
ing the proven success system and methodology of the Odyssey process.
Imelda and her husband John, who sadly passed away suddenly in 2010,
created the Odyssey concept and methodology based on their twenty-five
year partnership in their consulting business. During that time, they saw
many consultants leaving business on the table and working at low levels
within the profession.
John and Imelda, and their good friend Dave Bonnstetter, CEO of Success
Insights International, set up Odyssey: The Business of Consulting
TM
in 2005
with the vision to create the premier consulting organization and to guide
consultants in the creation of leading-edge consulting businesses around the
globe.
This was the motivation behind creating a powerful series of world-class
business consulting concepts and methodologies to help consultants build,
grow, and transform their consulting businesses.
By applying Odyssey methodologies and interventions, consultants inte-
grate and implement a proven worldwide success system into their client
assignments.
Imelda is passionate about maximizing human potential and living your
life fully, so you don’t go to the grave with your music still in you. She is an
advocate for business and personal success, whatever your field of endeavor.

She is also the managing director of Century Management, a consulting
business that she and John set up in 1989. In this role, she specializes in
strategic change management processes and systems, enabling organizations
to achieve and maintain competitive business advantage.
She currently works as a strategic partner with some of Ireland’s most
successful and prestigious organizations. She partners with key stakeholders
in realizing client organizations’ full potential by developing their culture,
vision, strategic direction, and human capital. Imelda has extensive experi-
ence in individual, team, and organization development.
Since 1992, Imelda and Century Management have been the master
distributor in Ireland for TTI Success Insights Internationals competency,
benchmarking, measurement, personal talent, behaviors, motivators, and
emotional intelligence portfolio of assessments.
Imelda is a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants in Ireland,
holds an honors degree in Management and a diploma in Theology and
Relationship Facilitation.
A native of County Wicklow, Imelda lives in the beautiful countryside
of Forenaughts, County Kildare, where she is involved in local community
organizations. She enjoys her leisure time in the company of her two beauti-
ful daughters, Michelle and Maria, and their husbands, Patrick and Geoffrey.
She has one awesome grandchild, with another on the way. She likes to
walk in the country, relax with friends, and read spiritual, inspirational, and
business books.
Dr. Shayne Tracy, CEO, Executive Strong, is an
experienced human resources management and stra-
tegic organizational development specialist, acertified
master coach, and an Odyssey certified consultant, with
more than twenty-five years’ experience in the human
systems domain.
He provides advice, processes, methodologies, and
experiences for senior management and organizations to create or enhance
tangible asset value through improved performance, productivity, and prof-
itability. He divides his time between consulting, executive coaching, and
master coach and consultant certification.
Dr. Tracy began his career in education as a teacher, before becoming an
education administrator and then taking on a senior role in human resources
with one of the largest public school boards in Canada.

He left the public sector when the first PC hit the first desk and founded
Human Resources Technologies in the mid-1980s to develop human
resources and training information systems. The company subsequently
installed more than 400 systems in small, medium, and large organizations
across Canada. Shayne’s vision was to provide human resources technology
solutions to companies to enable practitioners to spend more time on opera-
tional and strategic involvement with “the people … who are your business.
Answering his Odyssey calling ten years later, Shayne embarked on a
consulting career with a vision to assist individuals and organizations in
making the changes required to get them where they want to go. He has
consulted to a wide range of private and public organizations, both local
and international, and in sectors which include hi-tech, manufacturing,
service, and retail.
He says, “All companies, no matter what they produce or what services
they provide, have the challenges of constant change and growth … or
decline. The key variables that determine growth are leadership, manage-
ment, employee engagement, and the value-based remuneration of their
people, who work with the right motivators, skills, behavior, emotional intel-
ligence, and measured results.
Shayne is a director of the Odyssey Consulting Institute™ where he pro-
vides coaching and cofacilitates the Odyssey MasterClass.
He believes that Odyssey: The Business of Consulting is the boot camp
for people who want to be consultants, or those in consulting who aspire to
achieve their purpose and to be the best consultants they can be by making
a difference in organizations and in the world.
Shayne lives in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, with his wife Mary. They
have three wonderful daughters and nine amazing grandchildren.
